Implementación del IFN. La implementación del IFN propenderá por la participación de quienes conforman el SINA de acuerdo con lo establecido en la Ley 99 de 1993, buscando de esta manera mejorar el acceso a la información y la generación de conocimiento acerca del recurso forestal, sin duplicidad de esfuerzos y recursos.

Parágrafo

El desarrollo de las diferentes actividades que comprende el IFN en áreas comprendidas dentro del Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas (SINAP) se llevará a cabo en coordinación con Parques Nacionales Naturales y las autoridades ambientales regionales, según sea el caso.
