Origen. La Medalla Policía Militar “General Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera” categoría única, creada mediante Decreto 2544 del 17 de noviembre de 1994, categoría única, a quienes se hayan caracterizado por sus servicios eminentes en beneficio de la Policía Militar y que hayan ejecutado actos que pongan el alto en nombre de la institución militar.
