Origen. La Medalla Militar “Servicios Distinguidos a la Escuela Naval de Suboficiales”, fue creada mediante el artículo 143 del Decreto 1816 de 2007, para estimular y premiar al personal que haya sobresalido por sus capacidades personales, profesionales, tecnológicas y dedicación, al igual que a entidades oficiales, particulares y personal que haya prestado eminentes servicios o haya participado en realizaciones de beneficio excepcional para la Escuela Naval de Suboficiales ARC Barranquilla.
