El Sistema Nacional del Deporte tiene como objetivo generar y brindar a la comunidad oportunidades de participación en procesos de iniciación, formación, fomento y práctica del deporte, la recreación y el aprovechamiento del tiempo libre, como contribución al desarrollo integral del individuo y a la creación de una cultura física para el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de los colombianos.
