Se entiende por protección especial el tratamiento integral, legal, nutricional y social, que se proporciona: Al menor desprotegido (niño de la calle); Al menor abandonado y/o en peligro físico o moral; Al menor abandonado con limitaciones físicas o mentales, y Al menor con problemas de conducta, por violación de la ley o por desadaptación social.
