Anexo a cada aduana y a la Dirección General de Aduanas, habrá un cuerpo de Policía, que se llamará el Resguardo, de conformidad con las respectivas apropiaciones del Presupuesto Nacional. Todo Resguardo estará al mando de un Oficial denominado Capitán del Puerto, en las aduanas situadas en puertos marítimos, fluviales o meditarráneos (sic) o aéreos, y Capitán de Resguardo, en las demás aduanas y lugares.
