El procedimiento civil regula el modo como deben ventilarse y resolverse los asuntos civiles cuyo conocimiento corresponde al Poder Judicial y a otros funcionarios instituidos por este Código y por otras leyes.

Juicios civiles son los distintos procedimientos que por razón de la naturaleza de tales asuntos establece la ley.
