El área para necropsia o matadero sanitario es obligatorio en los mataderos clase l. Será completamente independiente; estará destinada para el sacrificio de animales sospechosos y por lo mismo cercana al corral de este tipo de animales. Para su funcionamiento estará debidamente dotada con los equipos sanitarios y demás requerimientos indispensables para esta clase de actividades.
