º El registro extemporáneo de que trata el anterior artículo podrá solicitarse por los interesados por correo, siempre y cuando el memorial petitorio se presente personalmente ante ¡mi Notario o Juez de la vecindad de los mismos, quien calificará la solicitud y los documentos acompañados con ella para acreditar el nacimiento, y si los encontrare ajustados a las reglamentaciones vigentes sobre el particular, autorizará su envío al funcionario del Registro Civil competente por razones de territorialidad, para efectuar el registro.
