Decreto 877 de 1976 · por el cual se señalan prioridades referentes a los diversos usos del recurso forestal, a su aprovechamiento y al otorgamiento de permisos y concesiones y se dictan otras disposiciones.

Se consideran áreas forestales productoras:

a) Las áreas cubiertas de bosques naturales, que por su contenido maderable sean susceptibles de un aprovechamiento racional y económico siempre que no estén comprendidas dentro de las áreas protectoras o protectoras-productoras a que se refieren los artículos 7° y 9° de este Decreto;

b) Las áreas cubiertas de bosques artificiales establecidas con fines comerciales;

c) Las áreas que estando o no cubiertas de bosques, se consideren aptas para el cultivo forestal por sus condiciones naturales.
