Decreto 718 de 1966 · por el cual se reorganizara la educación industrial de nivel medio y se crean las carreras técnicas intermedias.

Artículo octavo. Además de la enseñanza regular a que se refieren los artículos 4º y 7º de este Decreto, el Ministerio de Educación podrá establecer en los institutos técnicos secciones como las siguientes

De formación técnica exclusivamente;

De formación técnica con base en el bachillerato;

De cursos acelerados;

Enseñanza nocturna;

Programas cooperativos con la industria, en los que alternen periodos de instrucción teórica en los institutos con período de formación practica en las empresas, sin sujeción al calendario escolar ordinario. El Ministerio fijará el tiempo en que se deba desarrollar cada programa.
