La República de Colombia, honra y exalta la memoria de los inolvidables Magistrados de la Corte Suprema de Justicia, doctores Alfonso Reyes Echandía, Horacio Montoya Gil, Fabio Calderón Botero, Pedro Elías Serrano Abadía, Darío Velásquez Gaviria, Fanny González Franco, José Eduardo Gnecco Correa, Alfonso Patiño Roselli, Carlos Medellín, Manuel Gaona Cruz y Ricardo Medina Moyano, inmolados en el Palacio de Justicia durante los días 6 y 7 de noviembre de 1985 y del doctor Hernando Baquero Borda, vilmente asesinado el día 31 de julio de 1986.
