Para obtener el diploma de Médico Legista se necesita, además del título de Médico Cirujano la comprobación de haber ganado los siguientes cursos:

Química general orgánica e inorgánica in extenso. Toxicología in extenso. Legislación Criminal Psiquiatría. En las facultades oficiales de Medicina se abrirán los indicados cursos, y el Gobierno determinará el tiempo en que deben hacerse.
