Son atribuciones de la Cámara de Representantes:

1.

Examinar y fenecer definitivamente la cuenta general del Tesoro;

2.

Iniciar la formación de las leyes que establezcan contribuciones u organicen el Ministerio Público;

3.

Elegir cinco Magistrados de la Corte Suprema de Justicia y sus suplentes, de temas que presente el Presidente de la República;

4.

Acusar ante el Senado, cuando hubiere justas causas, al Presidente de la República, a los Ministros del Despacho, al Procurador General de la Nación y a los Magistrados de la Corte Suprema de Justicia; y,

5.

Conocer de los denuncios y quejas que ante ella se presenten por el Procurador General de la Nación o por particulares, contra los expresados funcionarios, y si prestan mérito, fundar en ellos acusación ante el Senado.
