Tiempos mininos de servicio en el grado. Fíjanse los siguientes tiempos mínimos de servicio en cada grado para ascender al inmediatamente superior: 1 OFICIALES Subteniente.. . 4 años Teniente. 4 años Capitán. 5 años Mayor. 5 años Teniente Coronel 4 años Coronel 5 años Brigadier General. 4 años Mayor General. 4 años II SUBOFICIALES Cabo Segundo. .3 años Cabo Primero. .4 años Sargento Segundo. .4 años Sargento Viceprimero .4 años Sargento Primero. 5 años

Parágrafo

En tiempo de paz, los Oficiales en el grado de General deberán solicitar su retiro de la Policía Nacional al cumplir tres (3) años de servicio en el grado. .
