Autorízase al Gobierno Nacional para realizar, a través del Banco de la República, una emisión especial de monedas de oro y plata de curso legal y de circulación en Colombia, de tipo conmemorativo y para fines conservacionistas de la naturaleza y preservación de las especies animales y vegetales en peligro de extinción en el país. Tales monedas podrán distribuirse en el exterior con fines numismáticos.
