El salario en dinero debe pagarse por períodos iguales y vencidos, en moneda legal. El período de pago para los jornales no puede ser mayor de una semana, y para sueldos no mayor de un mes. El pago del trabajo suplementario o de horas extras y el del recargo por trabajo nocturno debe efectuarse junto con el salario ordinario del período en que se han causado, o a más tardar con el salario del período siguiente.
