El tiempo máximo de duración del servicio activo de un suboficial será de quince años; por consiguiente, todo suboficial que cumpla treinta y seis años de edad, será retirado, forzadamente, del servicio. El servicio debe empezar para los cabos a los veintiún años de edad.
