Art. 28. Al iniciarse el juicio de contrabando se practicará un inventario y avalúo de las mercaderías aprehendidas, especificándolas por sus nombres, la materia de que se componen y el peso de cada serie de piezas de un mismo artículo. La Aduana hará el ajustamiento de los derechos en vista del inventario, dividiéndolo en lotes y asignando el derecho correspondiente á cada uno de ellos. Cuando el juicio se siga ante un Juez, éste enviará el inventario á la Aduana para que practique el ajustamiento y lo devuelva.
