Adicionalmente la entidad deberá compilar, validar, proteger y mantener toda la información que exista sobre el subsuelo, para lo cual las entidades públicas tendrán la obligación de remitir al instituto la información básica que generen, sin perjuicio de los objetivos estratégicos y comerciales de cada una.
