Los individuos condenados en el territorio de la Intendencia á las penas de presidio ó de reclusión las cumplirán en la Colonia Penal que existe ahí. Las penas de prisión y arresto serán sufridas en la respectiva cárcel municipal, que estará á cargo de un Alcalde nombrado por el Intendente.
