ARTICULO 2o . Objeto. El ICETEX tiene como objeto fomentar y promover el desarrollo educativo y cultural de la Nación, mediante préstamos, así como a través de la canalización de otras oportunidades educativas y de cooperación técnica internacional y nacional, a estudiantes y profesionales del nivel superior. La actividad que realice el Instituto, en cumplimiento de su función social, se sujetará en general a criterios de costeabilidad.
