Prórroga de la licencia especial . En caso de requerirse la ampliación de la licencia especial, por no estar terminado el trabajo para cuya realización se expidió y/o no estar capacitado el personal colombiano, el beneficiario de la licencia especial podrá solicitar, por una sola vez, que se prorrogue el término inicial hasta por seis meses más. El Consejo Nacional decidirá, según su criterio, si accede o no a la solicitud de prórroga. (Decreto 1873 de 1996, artículo 17)
