Retiro absoluto. Los agentes de la Policía Nacional serán retirados en forma absoluta del servicio conforme a este Decreto: por incapacidad absoluta y permanente o gran invalidez por haber cumplido sesenta y cinco (65) años de edad los hombres y sesenta (60) años las mujeres, edades éstas en que cesa para ellos toda obligación policial, por conducta deficiente, por destitución y por muerte.
