Art. 17. La compañía privilejiada tendrá el derecho de introducir libremente, i sin pagar derecho alguno de importacion, ni otro alguno de cualquiera clase que sea, por el rio Atrato o por la costa del Pacifico designada en el artículo 1°, todos los instrumentos, máquinas, herramientas, materiales para casas, viveres i vestidos para los trabaiadores que necesite durante el tiempo que se le concede para la construccion del canal.
