Para que sean admisibles las posturas en los remates de baldíos, el postor debe haber consignado previamente en la Tesorería General de la República el diez por ciento (10 por 100) del valor total del terreno que se va a rematar. Este diez por ciento (10 por 100) quedará a favor de la Nación sí el rematador no cumple con el deber de pagar el resto del precio dentro de las veinticuatro horas siguientes a la adjudicación del remate.
