La Dirección General del Presupuesto con fundamento en el artículo 78 del Estatuto Orgánico del Presupuesto General de la Nación, ejercerá la vigilancia administrativa de las empresas industriales y comerciales del Estado y sociedades de economía mixta, que funciones con régimen de empresa industrial y comercial del Estado, para lo cual efectuará visitas con fin de comprobar el uso de las apropiaciones del Presupuesto General de la Nación y solicitará la información necesaria para conocer su situación financiera.
