Para cada vehículo automotor amparado en los términos del Decreto 2544 de 1987, la compañía aseguradora expedirá una póliza de seguro o un certificado individual de seguro que contenga por lo menos la razón social de la compañía de seguros, el número del motor o chasis, el número de la placa del vehículo, el número de la póliza respectiva y su vigencia. En el caso de los certificados individuales de seguros se señalará además la clase de póliza (individual o colectiva), en virtud de la cual se ha expedido.
