DEVOLUCION DE PAGOS EN EXCESO. Habrá lugar a devolución o compensación por pagos efectuados en exceso de los impuestos adeudados y por los pagos de impuestos no debidos, que se hayan hecho a favor de la Administración Tributaria, previa corrección de la liquidación privada cuando fuere del caso, efectuada de conformidad con lo dispuesto en el artículo 589 del Estatuto Tributario. La solicitud de devolución deberá presentarse en la Administración de Impuestos que corresponda al domicilio del contribuyente o declarante.
