Cuando se trate de verificar las solicitudes de devolución o compensación, la Administración Tributaria podrá solicitar la exhibición de los libros de contabilidad a los agentes retenedores o proveedores seleccionados, quienes deberán presentarlos a más tardar al día hábil siguiente al de la fecha en que el funcionario comisionado lo solicite por escrito.
