Práctica de visitas y solicitud de información. Para constatar la veracidad de las quejas recibidas o prevenir la violación de los Derechos Humanos, la Defensoría del Pueblo podrá practicar visitas a cualquier entidad pública o privada y requerir la información que sea necesaria sin que pueda oponérsele reserva alguna. La Defensoría del Pueblo podrá recurrir a cualquier medio de prueba y tendrá el mismo valor que la ley le otorga para fines penales y disciplinarios.
