En virtud de que al Inderena corresponde a la ejecución de la política general y específica del Gobierno Nacional en materia de los recursos naturales renovables y de la protección del ambiente en el territorio nacional, esta entidad deberá ejercer la supervisión, el seguimiento y la evaluación de los programas que se adelanten en los Distritos de Manejo Integrado de los Recursos Naturales Renovables (DMI) que se creen.
