ARTICULO 2º . El Fondo tendrá por objeto, administrar recursos provenientes de aportes de entidades privadas nacionales y extranjeras, para contribuir a los planes y programas que en materia de seguridad ciudadana desarrollen los departamentos y municipios a través de los respectivos fondos de seguridad.
