LICENCIA POR MATERNIDAD Y ABORTO. Las Oficiales y Suboficiales de las Fuerzas Militares en servicio activo en estado de embarazo, tienen derecho en la época de alumbramiento, a una licencia de ocho (8) semanas remuneradas con la totalidad de los haberes correspondientes a su grado. Cuando en el curso del embarazo sufran aborto la licencia remunerada sólo será de cuatro (4) semanas. La licencia remunerada por maternidad o por aborto debe concederse desde la fecha indicada por la sanidad de la respectiva Fuerza, la cual debe en todos los casos expedir el certificado correspondiente. Las licencias por maternidad y aborto no interrumpen el tiempo de servicio.
