RETIRO DE GENERALES Y ALMIRANTES. Los Oficiales del grado General y Almirante, pasarán al retiro temporal con pase a la reserva al cumplir cuatro (4) años de servicio en el grado, a excepción de quien ocupe el cargo de Ministro de Defensa Nacional por ser su nombramiento y separación potestad del Presidente de la República, conforme al numeral 1 del artículo 120 de la Constitución Política.
