NATURALEZA, FINES Y CATEGORÍAS. La Medalla "Servicios Distinguidos a la Aviación Naval", se crea para estimular y premiar a los miembros de esta especialidad que hayan sobresalido por sus capacidades profesionales y técnicas al igual que a entidades oficiales, particulares y personal civil o particular que haya prestado eficientes servicios en beneficio de la Aviación Naval. Ostenta una sola categoría.
