Legalízase la Medalla al Mérito Militar "Torre de Castilla", creada por Disposición número 00012 del Comando del Ejército, de septiembre 30 de 1981, para acrecentar el espíritu de cuerpo y compañerismo, y para estimular a quienes hayan prestado servicios eminentes al Arma de ingenieros, de acuerdo con el concepto del Consejo de la Medalla. Ostenta una sola categoría.
