IMPOSICIÓN. El acto de imposición de la Orden Militar de San Mateo debe revestir la mayor solemnidad, y para la ceremonia se conformar un destacamento con elementos de las tres (3) Fuerzas. Preside el acto el señor Presidente de la República, quien impone la condecoración; en este momento se disparan salvas de artillería y las bandas interpretarán el himno nacional. Las fechas de imposición serán las especificadas en el artículo 12.
