SOLICITUDES, PROMOCIONES Y REQUISITOS. La solicitud para promover una condecoración a una nueva categoría se tramita por la autoridad competente, siempre y cuando el agraciado llene los requisitos que se enumeran a continuación

Que tengan la jerarquía militar o posición civil equivalente a la categoría de la Orden que se solicita;

Que haya transcurrido un tiempo mínimo de tres (3) años en posesión de la condecoración o medalla en la categoría que le fue concedida por última vez comprobándolo con el número y fecha del decreto o disposición que la confirió;

Que cumpla los mismos requisitos establecidos para su otorgamiento. El solicitante puede adjuntar cualquier otro documento que dé mayor información sobre los méritos del candidato.
