PERSONAS HABILITADAS PARA LA DEFENSA DEL PROCESADO. El cargo de defensor para la indagatoria del sindicado, cuando no hubiere abogado inscrito que lo asista en ella, podrá ser confiado a cualquier ciudadano honorable siempre que no sea empleado público. Los estudiantes de Derecho, pertenecientes a consultorios jurídicos o los egresados, podrán intervenir en los procesos penales, en las condiciones previstas en los Estatutos de la profesión de abogado y de la defensoría pública.
