PRESCRIPCION DE LA ACCION CIVIL. La acción civil proveniente del delito prescribe en veinte (20) años, si se ejercita independientemente del proceso penal, y en tiempo igual al de la prescripción de la respectiva acción penal, si se adelanta dentro de éste.
