El Personero Municipal, en cumplimiento de sus atribuciones como defensor del pueblo o veedor ciudadano, velará porque se cumplan las disposiciones sobre la distribución de los recursos provenientes de la participación en el impuesto a las ventas y, en caso de incumplimiento, de oficio o a solicitud de cualquier ciudadano, instaurará las acciones a que haya lugar.
