Para asistir a los municipios y al Distrito Especial de Bogotá y colaborar con ellos en el cumplimiento de las funciones que para el sector agropecuario les han sido trasladadas, dentro de la estructura del Ministerio de Agricultura y bajo la dependencia de la Dirección del Ministerio de conformidad con lo dispuesto por el Decreto 1050 de 1968, funcionará la Dirección General de Regionalización, Información y Estadística, la cual será organizada con el personal al servicio del Ministerio a la fecha de vigencia de este Decreto.
