ARTICULO 18 . Efectos de la indemnización o de la bonificación. La indemnización y la bonificación constituyen una compensación del Estado al funcionario o empleado, por el retiro del servicio mediante la declaratoria de insubsistencia o el retiro voluntario mediante bonificación; por esta razón, su reconocimiento excluirá cualquiera otra reparación o compensación. Como consecuencia de lo anterior, cuando quiera que se reconozca indemnización por el retiro del servicio de un empleado de carrera se entenderá que se actúa dentro de las circunstancias contempladas en el presente Decreto.
