Sin perjuicio de lo dispuesto en este Decreto, el Ministerio de Educación Nacional en cumplimiento de las funciones que le asigna la Ley 24 de 1988, podrá realizar acciones de orientación, asesoría y control de los institutos docentes públicos y privados de educación formal, bajo su propia iniciativa o a solicitud de las autoridades educativas seccionales.
