ARTICULO 39 . De la Academia Superior de Inteligencia y Seguridad Publica.- La Academia Superior de Inteligencia y Seguridad Pública es un centro de naturaleza docente en el campo de la seguridad y la investigación cuyo objetivo fundamental es el de formar profesionalmente, especializar, capacitar, actualizar y adiestrar al personal de inteligencia, protección, investigaciones, extranjería y administrativo que los servicios del Departamento demanden, ciñéndose en lo pertinente a lo dispuesto por el Decreto-Ley 80 de 1980 y a los que lo adicionen, modifiquen o reformen y a las disposiciones del Decreto- Ley 2193 de 1989.
