Efectuada la inscripción el Consejo de la Carrera determinará, previa revisión de requisitos y antecedentes, cuáles de los aspirantes pueden participar en el concurso. Esta decisión será notificada mediante aviso que se fijará por ocho días; los aspirantes no admitidos podrán interponer recurso de reposición motivado, dentro de los tres (3) días siguientes y se resolverá en los diez (10) días posteriores. Cumplido lo anterior, se remitirá la lista con las calificaciones al nominador.
