El Instituto de Investigaciones Geológico-Mineras, INGEOMINAS, levantará el mapa general hidroeléctrico del país, con los datos que le suministren las entidades mencionadas en el artículo anterior. Podrá, igualmente, utilizar los informes de que trata el artículo 152 de este Decreto y aquellos que deban aportar otras entidades relacionadas con la ejecución de trabajos para alumbrar aguas subterráneas.
