El Instituto Nacional de los Recursos Naturales Renovables y del Ambiente -INDERENA-tendrá a su cargo el estudio, exploración y control de la explotación de las aguas minero - medicinales, para lo cual coordinará sus labores con el Ministerio de Salud Pública y la Corporación Nacional de Turismo, con el objeto de inventariar, clasificar y evaluar su utilidad terapéutica, industrial y turística.
