Las infracciones a la pesca marina, serán investigadas y sancionadas por el INPA, teniendo en cuenta las diligencias preliminares que adelante la Dirección General Marítima y por intermedio de la Capitanía de Puerto correspondiente. Esta última, a petición del INPA, se abstendrá de otorgar el zarpe para la embarcación infractora, hasta tanto se dé cumplimiento a las sanciones impuestas por éste.
